Software Development
A Geek's Paradise or an Artist's Dream

What lies at the heart of a true software developer? Is it a yearning to build computer programs with all sorts of cool things? Is it the need to tinker with electronic gadgetry? Is it the need to learn the latest jargon and countless acronyms? Or is it just another boring job where five o'clock just can't come soon enough?

From my experience, one or more of those possibilities does apply to a great many programmers. But for the few software developers out there who embrace this vocation with a passion beyond the trivial, it is so very much more.

To us, software development is an art form in the truest sense. We create something that people both enjoy looking at, and interacting with. When we create software, it has form and purpose. It has flow and function. It is a delight to behold and an experience to appreciate. We create something that will touch people's lives. And, in return, we are gratified by the masses that have experienced our creation.

We create ... art.
